We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible Research Delivery Facilitator, to work with research active staff within the Trust, and the R&I research delivery and support teams, to identify and set up a variety of clinical research studies (commercial and non-commercial) and to ensure a varied and balanced portfolio of research projects within the Trust.
The primary base for this role is York Hospital, with a requirement to work at Scarborough Hospital when needed.
Reporting to the Head of Research Operations, working closely with our current Research Delivery Facilitator and Commercial Research Manager, and supported by the R&I Project Support Team, you willact as first point of contact for all new research studies within the Trust and play a key role in ensuring effective liaison and communication with a wide range of contacts, for example, university and industry sponsors, research networks, regulatory bodies, and research active clinical professionals. Such communication will involve information of a complex nature requiring a range of interpersonal skills.
The Research Delivery Facilitator will play a key role in supporting the research community in developing research activity and strategy. The post holder will manage the flow of new research projects coming into the Trust, providing confirmation of capacity and capability. The RDF will work closely with research active staff within the directorates of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to support all aspect of their research.
The post holder will play a key role in delivering the department’s business targets.
