If you have experience working within ESOL background, this could be an ideal opportunity for you. Job Purpose: We are seeking a passionate and experienced ESOL Lecturer to join our team. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and student support to further and higher education learners. You will also contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and student progression. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective ESOL teaching in line with the College Standards for Teaching and Learning. Develop innovative teaching materials and implement student-centred learning strategies. Plan and deliver work-based learning, including apprenticeships and placements. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression. Contribute to curriculum development and ensure alignment with industry needs. Support marketing initiatives, including student recruitment and employer engagement. Participate in quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery. Undertake administrative responsibilities, including record-keeping and reporting. Act as a personal tutor, providing guidance and support to students throughout their learning journey. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the College's reputation and service delivery. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Honours degree or relevant professional qualification in ESOL/TEFL. Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or QTLS). Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths, and ICT. Experience teaching adult learners, including accredited and non-accredited ESOL courses. Strong understanding of the Further and Higher Education sectors. Desirable Skills and Attributes: Experience in delivering work-based learning and supporting apprenticeships. Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding practices. Flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to a changing educational landscape.
