Job Description: Are you passionate about positively influencing the environmental performance of marine development projects? Join our team as a Principal Marine Consultant and you will have the opportunity to work on our range of marine projects in sectors such as offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports and harbours, and coastal developments.
In this role you will support and input to our growing portfolio of high-profile marine projects. Here’s what you’ll do:
1. Provide Expertise: Manage environmental inputs across a diverse range of marine projects, including the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments/Environmental Statements, and supporting assessments and documents.
2. Ensure Quality: Maintain high quality standards and compliance with our rigorous quality management procedures.
3. Project Management: Manage resources and budgets effectively.
4. Collaborate: Work as part of an integrated team to improve the environmental outcomes of our projects.
5. Client Contact: Manage client relationships, internal teams, and subcontractors.
6. Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services and lead business development opportunities.
Qualifications: Here’s what we’re looking for:
1. A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Masters degree) and ideally an appropriate professional membership (Chartered Environmentalists preferred).
2. Comprehensive EIA consultancy experience, with proven skills in managing the preparation of environmental reports.
3. A detailed understanding of marine consenting and licensing regimes around the UK and ideally Ireland.
4. Project management skills, including programming, staff resource and budget management.
5. Efficient verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing.
