Who You Are You have experience working in an office environment and are proficient in using office packages. You have a good understanding of local authority operations and hold a good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent, ideally with qualifications such as the European Computer Driving Licence or NVQ level 2 in Administration/Finance. Commitment to excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with a range of colleagues and the public are key. You are flexible, able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines, and possess good organizational, oral, and written communication skills. What the Job Involves The role involves providing efficient and effective administrative support to waste and recycling operational and support teams. Key tasks include maintaining and updating electronic/manual information systems, processing mail, emails, and garden waste queries, and undertaking clerical duties such as word processing correspondence and reports. You'll co-ordinate meetings, take minutes, liaise with other organizations, and manage files. The role also includes dealing with stock levels, managing financial records, and complying with Welsh language and health and safety requirements. Additionally, you may occasionally work outside normal hours and need to travel within the county.
