Management Accountant job, within an Outsourcing team in Norwich or Cambridge with hybrid and flexible working Hays are recruiting a Management Accountant for a well-established firm of Accountants and Business Advisors, who will offer you an exciting opportunity for both personal and career growth. The firm offers a wide range of services, including auditing, accounting, tax, and corporate finance and serves a diverse client base across the UK and internationally, with a strong focus on entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses.The firm’s Outsourcing department is rapidly evolving and has quadrupled in size over the past two years. Their team typically works with moderately sized firms from various sectors that require external expertise to help support them with operating their finance functions. Whether it's data-entry, maintaining their books and records, VAT compliance, or providing insightful management accounts. The Job opportunityThe complexity of work will depend upon your experience, but you can expect to be involved in: Taking ownership of the delivery of outsourcing services for a mixed and demanding portfolio of clients. Supporting others on work assignments by giving clear instructions and aiding development. Maintaining clients' books and records, including reviewing processing performed by more junior team members and delivering feedback. Preparing bespoke management reports for a range of clients, including processing up to the supporting Trial Balance and producing supporting working papers. Applying in-depth knowledge of VAT, including the preparation of VAT returns. Experience required ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (minimum criteria). Experience in portfolio management, including delivery of outsourcing services (minimum criteria). Up-to-date working knowledge of tax including MTD. Team management experience, including line management. Strong systems knowledge in Xero, Dext, Approval Max and QBO, including implementation. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of cloud-based systems is essential.
