What You'll Be Doing:
1. Leading Procurement Operations: Managing all company purchasing through our ERP/MRP system and ensuring supplier relationships are strong, efficient, and cost-effective.
2. Optimising Inventory & Stock Control: Keeping our online store fully stocked and ensuring raw materials are always available for sales orders.
3. Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing new strategies to reduce business risk and enhance operational efficiency.
4. Financial & Supplier Management: Preparing budgets, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.
5. Collaboration & Communication: Working closely with Finance, Sales, and Production teams to ensure seamless workflow and operational success.
6. Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all procured items meet required quality standards and adhering to key business accreditations.
7. Leadership & Training: Supporting and mentoring team members in procurement best practices and system usage.
What We're Looking For:
1. Proven Experience: Background in purchasing, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.
2. ERP/MRP Expertise: Experience with ERP systems (Sage 200 preferred) and strong analytical skills to manage procurement data.
3. Strategic Thinker: Ability to problem-solve, make decisions under pressure, and identify areas for improvement.
4. Strong Communicator & Negotiator: Skilled in liaising with suppliers, negotiating the best deals, and working cross-functionally.
5. Leadership & Motivation: Ability to delegate, train, and inspire a team to achieve operational excellence.
6. Supply Chain & Market Knowledge: Understanding of market trends, stock management, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
