Your new companyYour new company is a well established business in Barrow-In-Furness. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.Your new role
* Investigate and problem-solve financial anomalies to ensure accounts are accurately reflected.
* Deliver continuous improvement of key Finance processes.
* Assist colleagues by investigating member queries ensuring a positive outcome for those members.
* Provide support to the purchase ledger manager, including logging invoices and making payments.
* Assist with month end processes that include, bank reconciliations, journal input and assist with adhoc reporting.
* Support the interim and year end audit, providing and interpreting financial data to the external auditors.
* Manage suspense accounts and return members money in a timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed
* AAT qualified / part qualified.
* Good communication skills
* Good Problem solving skills
* Quick Learner
* Ability to work alone as well as being part of a team
* Bank reconciliation experience, knowledge or debits / credits
* Experience of using Sage is preferable but not essential
* Experience of using Excel
