St John Ambulance (NI) is seeking Sessional First Aid Trainer Assessors to deliver First Aid at Work and other first aid courses in workplace and community settings across Northern Ireland.

Role Requirements:
Applicants must:
* Hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate (or be willing to obtain one if appointed) OR be registered as one of the following:
* A doctor with the General Medical Council.
* A nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
* A paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Provide evidence of a nationally recognised Training and Assessing qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent).
* Have a minimum of 1 year of experience delivering first aid courses, preferably to adults, OR a medical background.
* Be flexible and willing to travel throughout Northern Ireland to deliver training at various venues.
* Be available for at least two weekdays and occasional Saturdays or evenings.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver training courses and conduct assessments to a professional and consistent standard in accordance with St John Ambulance (NI) requirements
* Facilitate first aid courses to diverse audiences in terms of age, disciplines and backgrounds and implement reasonable adjustments as necessary within the classroom setting
* Maintain personal CPD and professional competence in relation to subject/courses you teach and in accordance with organisation requirements
* Promote St John Ambulance (NI) services
* Be a team player by engaging positively with training team staff, other sessional trainer/assessors and Internal Quality Assurer/s to maintain a high standard of training and assessing and a positive working environment
* Adhere to the organisations Quality Assurance system which requires an IQA observation of each trainer/assessor on a minimum of an annual basis
* Ensure that all training equipment used is fit for purpose, kept clean and sanitized, stored in accordance with procedures and that any fault or damage is reported promptly to the Equipment Manger
* Ensure accurate and timely submission of course documentation as required
* Arrive in good time for courses in order to prepare the training room set up, liaise with venue contacts and greet learners.
* Adhere to St John Ambulance (NI) health and safety, training and all other policies and procedures as implemented within the organisation.
* Pilot new initiatives in training when required.
* Perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities.
