To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Production Quality. in the Manufacturing Quality department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel. Summary: Supervising the Inspection Operations team to ensure production cars meet the required quality standards through the Quality (QIP) stages. Having a high level of responsibility and decision making on vehicles throughout the Production process and Passed To Sales. What you'll do Making reasoned and professional decisions around product issues that fall outside the product specification (customer safety & satisfaction) and document and manage any concessions. Work closely with Production Supervision and Team Leaders to help understand, measure and improve production defects found at the Quality Inspection Points (QIP) in collaboration with key stakeholders i.e. STA, Engineering etc Collation, analysis and countermeasure management of product quality performance through KPI's. To record accurate information and results using both paper and electronic based systems and ensure accurate reporting from all team members. To create and update vehicle quality standards and Processes and validate training levels for all standards. Create and manage the Quality training matrix to ensure all roles are covered in a 3x3 matrix Leading problem solving initiatives at all levels to achieve robust countermeasures, sharing lessons learned to New Model. Able to carry out inspection activities on components using a defined inspection process Working as part of a team to contain and prevent defects. Managing the Information Centre and key stakeholders to protect customer quality Validate defect bookings and allocation Define and implement the Quality image on the shop floor ensuring the correct equipment is available and lighting validated. What you'll bring: Previous team leader or supervisory experience. Good understanding of the English language to follow written and verbal instructions effectively. Experience working within a manufacturing environment. Computer literacy and proficiency in using relevant software, for example Microsoft Office products. Numeracy skills with the ability to read and understand written instructions and documentation. Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines. Honesty, trustworthiness, flexibility, proactivity, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills. Basic knowledge of employment law and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Good understanding of cellular manufacturing and LEAN principals, including J.I.T, Kanban, and Continuous Improvement. Proven track record as a productive worker with a strong work ethic. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative. Good attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills. Ability to build rapport, and empathise with people at all levels.
