No experience of working with children is necessary, but you will need:
1. The ability to relate well to children
2. The confidence to assist students on an individual basis and in small group/whole class work
3. Excellent communication and motivational skills to engage young people
4. The ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence
5. Enthusiasm for supporting students with differing needs/ability
6. Knowledge of the diverse demands of working in a multi-cultural environment
