Here at Principal Resourcing, we have wonderful opportunity for a caring and passionate SEN Teacher to join one of our inclusive Specialist Schools based in Wakefield, WF1. The full-time role is expected to commence November 2024 and will initially be on a temporary basis with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
The vibrant and supportive Specialist School caters for young people aged 11-19 years with complex care needs, including challenging behaviour and learning disabilities including Autism and ADHD. You will join a friendly staff team, enabling the creation of a holistic and supportive environment that allows pupils of all abilities to flourish and develop in all aspects of life.
As the SEN Class Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities that encourages students to engage and progress academically, socially and emotionally. The school offers small class sizes of 8 students, supported by excellent teaching assistants and a superb therapy team. This role will allow the ideal candidate to showcase their ability to be creative in their planning, delivering a range of adapted lessons that support pupils to reach their full potential and meet their learning needs.
We welcome applications from ECT's and experienced Teachers and offer competitive rates of pay up to £230, depending on your experience and the role requirements.
We are seeking a SEN Teacher with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for teaching SEN pupils
- Previous experience planning & teaching SEN pupils desirable
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship
