Applications are requested for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. These posts aim to give applicants experience in a diverse range of complex orthopaedic trauma of pelvis/acetabulum, lower and upper limb and multiply injured patients. These posts are aimed at ST8 and post-CCT level i.e. those doctors having recently completed, or being within three years of completion, an orthopaedic training programme. These posts are ideal for those who are seeking advanced level training and experience specifically in orthopaedic trauma. Applicants would be expected to be capable of independently managing simpler trauma cases such as long bone intramedullary nailing, hip fractures, distal radius fractures, ankle fractures etc.
