The role
Orbit are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit a Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team. In this position, you will play a vital role in partnering with internal stakeholders by providing financial planning information, to deliver key projects for Orbit Group.
Working alongside the Head of Financial Planning and Corporate Reporting, you’ll provide key financial insights to enable decision making. The successful Financial Planning Analyst will have impeccable attention to detail, a clear and concise communication style and be skilled in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
What you'll achieve
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Responsible for the maintenance of financial planning models for use in Orbit’s planning processes within BRIXX software.
Responsible for the creation of annual budget and 30-year financial plan inclusive of, stress testing and mitigation analysis with the support of the Head of Financial Planning & Corporate reporting.
Monitoring performance, analysing the implications of variances, challenging forecasts and testing scenarios. Working with two corporate directorates, providing proactive pertinent business insight to the Executive Directors.
Responsible for providing clear communication and reporting of the current, and forecast, financial position of relevant cost centres to manage delivery in line with budget expectation in conjunction with the leadership of that business area
Build relationships across the business (including Directors), ensuring all teams have access to sound financial support.What you'll bring
Essential skills:
Qualified or Finalist (ACCA/CIMA /ICAEW/equivalent).
Extensive experience of using Microsoft Excel to provide business information.
Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
Ability to analyse and model complex information.Desirable skills:
