The Role:
GAP Lifting Hire & Sales offers one of the largest ranges of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. From small shackles and slings to material lifts and aluminium gantries, the division has everything our customers need for lifting any size of load.
The Lifting Equipment Engineer will carry out Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) of customer owned lifting and safety equipment to ensure compliance with industry regulations. This will primarily involve inspection of all ‘below the hook' lifting equipment and accessories along with repair and maintenance. In addition, the TIC team support the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet, upskilling members of the team and providing customers with bespoke solutions to lifting based queries.
Please note this role will be covering between Cardiff & Bristol and therefore candidates can be located in either or these areas.
About You
Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:
1. Experience working as a Lifting Engineer within a busy depot environment is essential
2. Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER and PUWER.
3. Experience diagnosing and repairing lifting equipment faults is essential
4. LEEA qualification is essential
5. Ability to work on own initiative and assist other team members when required
6. A customer-focussed approach to their work and strong attention to detail
7. Valid driving licence is essential
