Job Description
* Source and procure goods and services in line with organisation requirements.
* Manage relationships with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions.
* Develop procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
* Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
* Lead and represent the Supply Chain Department.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
* Collaborate with internal departments to forecast future supply needs.
* Handle issues relating to quality, cost, delivery and inventory management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Buyer should have:
* Minimum 3+ years previous experience in a similar role within the engineering sector.
* Experience using an MRP system.
* Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
* Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices.
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
* Experience of technical drawings.
* Strong relationship management skills.
* Excellent communication and team working skills.
