Job Title: Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT)
GSL Education is looking for a dedicated Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) to support a wonderful client school in Newcastle for the upcoming term. As a Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT), your role will be multifaceted, encompassing responsibilities related to teaching children from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, classroom management, student assessment, professional development, and collaboration with colleagues and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of secondary students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and development.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student outcomes.
* Actively participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Hold or be working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
* Previous experience working with KS3 and KS4 students is appreciable.
* Show creativity in lesson planning and delivery, making learning engaging and accessible for all students.
* Willingness to reflect on your practice and seek continuous improvement.
* Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
* Be able to provide two professional references from workplaces within the last two years.
