The role
As a Project Engineer - Construction, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will deliver assigned projects and feasibility studies, working closely with customers and contractors to deliver projects safely and to time, cost and quality.
Day-to-day, you'll assist and support the Project Manager with the management and control of projects via applying Project Management Office (PMO) competencies through the entire project lifecycle within the Facilities Major Project Team. You will also:
* Oversee and co-ordinate the compilation and maintenance of essential records, to include project folder, health and safety file, operation and maintenance manuals, sign off certification.
* Management of quality documentation and department compliance, ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements and recommended best practice.
* Review all processes, systems and means of providing both hard and soft services whilst developing and implementing continuous improvements.
* Identification of lessons learned.
* Budget monitoring, control and progress reporting (as required for allocated Projects).
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Project Engineer - Construction
* Experience in Facilities Infrastructure and Contractor Management.
* Significant knowledge of legislation, guidelines and industry best practice relating to Health and Safety and CDM Regulations.
* Good IT Skills (Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project).
* Application of project management tools and techniques.
* Proven track record of efficient and effective project delivery.
Qualifications for the Project Engineer - Construction
* Minimum HNC in Engineering, preferred Bachelor's Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical or Civils).
* Significant experience within a similar engineering environment.
* Have or be prepared to work to achieving the APM practitioner level in Project Management.
* IOSH Managing Safely.
* IEMA Approved Introduction to Environmental Awareness.
