Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive mainstream primary school in the FY3 area of Blackpool, who are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team from May 2025.
This is a full-time position teaching a small group of 7 Key Stage 2 pupils, all with varying special educational needs, within a dedicated provision based in the school. The school is well-resourced and offers a nurturing, inclusive environment with a strong focus on personalised learning.
Responsibilities:
* Teaching a small, mixed-ability class of KS2 pupils with identified SEN
* Planning and delivering tailored lessons to support academic, social, and emotional development
* Working closely with support staff and external agencies to meet individual needs
* Managing EHCP targets and contributing to reviews and progress reports
* Creating a safe, stimulating and structured classroom environment
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or inclusive teaching
* Strong understanding of a range of additional needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)
* Patient, creative and confident in using differentiated approaches
* Skilled in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
* Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
