Role Summary
We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our purchase ledger team in Great Yarmouth, reporting to the Financial Controller. You will work within the Finance function and have the opportunity to contribute as part of a crucial team to the core accounting and financial operations of the business, processing a high volume of purchase invoices for multiple locations within the global group.
What you’ll be doing
1. Matching invoices to purchase orders and posting for the UK and overseas entities
2. Resolving pricing issues, booking in queries, and liaising with suppliers for incorrect charges
3. Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
4. Setting up new supplier accounts, following required procedures for screening
5. Chasing final VAT Invoices for proforma and PayPal payments
6. Inputting company credit card transactions
7. Assisting in preparation of payment runs
8. Authorising bank payments in accordance with group authorisation policy
9. Mailbox management
10. Liaising with internal stakeholders in order to resolve ad hoc queries regarding accounting procedures
11. General administrative and office support
12. Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
