We are seeking an experienced Interim Caretaker to join our team on a flexible basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our school environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caretaking, with specific skills in key handling, basic maintenance, and safety checks.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Conduct daily maintenance checks and address any issues promptly.
2. Perform routine boiler and water safety checks to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
3. Manage key holding responsibilities, ensuring the security and accessibility of the school premises at all times.
4. Adhere to strict safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
5. Respond to ad-hoc maintenance requests and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all school users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a caretaker or in a similar role.
2. Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and basic repair skills.
3. Knowledgeable in safety and safeguarding practices within a school environment.
4. Must possess a current DBS certificate on the update service.
5. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
