Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose
To support the Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Team by maximising purchasing power to improve competitive edge and to deliver best value, price, quality, on-time delivery, utilising purchasing tools and techniques in line with recognised best practice, legal and policy requirements.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
1. Involvement in supply chain strategy and approach, aiding towards global goals & objectives
2. Creating and managing purchase orders for goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures
3. Supporting Buyers / Senior Buyer on project deliverables
4. Collaboration with Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of project demands
5. Developing and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and services
6. Aid accounts payable to solve queries from GEP, Match Exceptions and RNV reporting
7. Update monthly department metrics
8. Negotiations for P Card one off purchases in line with company policies and procedures
9. Responsible for reviewing expediting reports and liaising with Buyers with any changes
10. Responsible for ordering all stationery
11. Manage site requirements for diesel and gas ensuring empty containers are returned in a timely manner
12. Provide general assistance with company administration – preparation & collation of data
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Strong negotiation skills
DESIRED
Chartered Institute Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Qualification or studying towards CIPS Qualification
