Main Duties & Responsibilities of Maintenance Electrician include;
1. Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained – maintaining factory manufacturing machinery.
2. Monitor & supply engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.
3. Keeping and implementing plant wide PPM structures ensuring H&S, quality assurance as well as liaising with Engineering Stores.
4. Working within a small team and alongside contractors to diagnose breakdowns and electrical faults across the plant.
Experience and Qualifications Required for Maintenance Electrician;
1. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or HNC and HND – Electrical.
2. Time served Electrical Engineer or as Maintenance Electrician.
3. Skills in breakdowns, installations, inverters and PLCs.
4. Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
5. High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
