SEN Teacher – Range of Subjects (KS3) – Immediate Start!
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school on a long-term/permanent basis. This school caters to students with Autism, severe, profound, and complex needs, and we are looking for someone who can deliver a range of subjects at KS3, adapting teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.
In this role, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of subjects to students with Special Educational Needs, using creative and adaptive approaches to make learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful. Experience in SEND education is preferred but not essential – we are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm and flexibility to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering lessons across a range of subjects (e.g., English, maths, science, humanities, etc.) to KS3 students with Autism and complex needs, using differentiated instruction and multisensory techniques to support learning.
* Designing personalized learning plans based on individual student needs and progress, incorporating a variety of resources such as visual aids, tactile learning tools, and interactive activities.
* Supporting students to develop not only academic skills but also social, emotional, and life skills, helping them gain independence and confidence in their learning journey.
* Collaborating with a team of other professionals (speech therapists, behavior specialists, etc.) to provide a holistic approach to each student's education.
* Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe to explore new concepts and express themselves.
