Job overview
To supervise and lead the operational day-to-day management of Catering services, delivered to Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring quality services are delivered in compliance with relevant service specification and key performance indicators.
To ensure the continuous delivery of services and respond to service failures in a timely manner.
To ensure all associated policy and procedures are implemented as required.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Educated to HNC level or equivalent, in an associated field.
* Professional knowledge and experience to NVQ 3 level equivalent, plus additional knowledge to diploma level acquired through training and experience or City and Guilds.
* IOSH Managing Safely or Equivalent.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable criteria
* Food Safety in catering.
* Sound knowledge of HACCP.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Good understanding of the provision of facilities services in the given service functions.
* Good organisational and managerial skills, ability to prioritise and organise own and departmental workloads.
* Experienced at working to deadlines.
* Ability to manage own time.
* Multi-tasking skills.
Desirable criteria
* Ability to produce reports in relation to facilities services in the NHS environment.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Demonstrable and significant experience at junior manager or supervisor level within the Facilities Management environment.
* Ability to lead and manage FM service delivery teams.
* Good interpersonal and relationship building skills along with a proven track record in delivering quality in service provision.
* Excellent ability to communicate effectively in writing and face-to-face.
Desirable criteria
* A general understanding of the NHS procurement process.

Essential criteria
* Ability to work in various locations throughout the network of services provided by the Company/Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK.
* Able to fulfill the health requirements of the post as identified in the Job Description, taking into account any reasonable adjustments recommended by Occupational Health.
Desirable criteria
* Membership of an associated professional organisation/institution e.g. British Institute of Facilities Management.
