Job Description Repair Implementation Manager Full time Derby / Hybrid – Minimum 3 days on site What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Repair Implementation Manager to join the Engineering Operations team within ET&S. You will l ead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to implement component repairs within our supply chain and overhaul network. Acting as the Technical Authority you will manage the initial and continuing capability of the method to repair components that conform to design definition. You will build and develop relationships with key vendors in the MRO network as well as ensuring the resolution of technical issues/problems/arisings, to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time (SQCD). You will be responsible for ensuring product safety risks are understood, mitigated and reduced and required safety levels are met. You will be a product safety champion, promoting the culture throughout the supply chain, ensuring learning is embedded. Naturally, you will ensure manufacturing processes and methods deployed within your area of accountability are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm programme. Responsibilities: In addition to the safety related responsibilities, you will also be responsible for: Technical and Quality Approval of Fixed Process Documentation & Component FAIRs Ensure technical data required to meet the Company’s Regulatory requirements, contractual and customer commitments in respect of technical information managing delivery through our technical authoring supplier. Development into delegation for Product Change Authority (PCA) Work with the Repair Development team to collate lessons learned on rework and improving repair design for the future Planning & Delivery Deployment of published repairs to approve existing and new vendors for source demonstrated repairs. Provide day to day support to the repair vendors and customers in developing their repair capability including Continuous Improvement (Yield, Quality, RFT etc.) Supporting repair rate readiness to establish component repair capability. Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent) Good understanding of manufacturing processes General awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, etc.).
