Cobb & Jones are working with a large, international business, supporting them in their search for a new Finance Manager. A key role reporting to the Head of Finance and partnering the Supply Chain Operations Director providing strategic analysis and insight into new projects and business wins within the Supply Chain and Operations division. Expect to accurately complete core month end finance duties and act a main point of contact. This role will be heavily involved in the financial planning of exciting new projects across Supply Chain. You’ll be responsible for extensive business case modelling for exciting new projects in pipeline, whilst reviewing efficiencies and hypothesis, tracking savings and project capex expenditure to ensure live projects are on track and delivering as expected.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and review on all new Business opportunities with particular focus on ensuring all opportunities are costed correctly as part of the Financial Analysis process.
2. Provide Finance Support for ad-hoc projects including opportunity modelling and the compilation of business cases as required.
3. Manage and report any Project costs and benefits including detailed commentary and providing early insight if corrective action is required.
4. Co-ordinate the quarterly reforecast and Budget process providing detailed insight into any movements and analysis on trends.
5. Manage P&L, Balance sheet and month end process for any Project based accounts.
6. Prepare financial analysis and support on any capital acquisition projects.
7. Support and Prepare information for the Capacity Plan process.
8. Provide analysis and support in the volume forecasting process including ensuring workday is fully updated.
9. Be actively involved in the S&OP process, including building relationships with commercial colleagues.
10. Undertake strategic analysis to feed into the long-term financial plan
11. Ad-hoc research into factors affecting performance including trend analysis, forecasting and review
12. Develop and manage financial systems/models (e.g., SAP, BW)
13. Management of a small team
Profile:
14. You will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) currently operating as a Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager, unfortunately we cannot consider QBE profiles for this opportunity.
15. Prior experience in a similar role – Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Business Partner, FP&A Manager, Finance Analyst.
16. This role requires experience with business modelling and managing large project expenditure, ideally within a Supply Chain environment.
17. Strong Excel skills, including experience in financial analysis and modelling are essential as well as strong communication and partnering skills across all levels up to Exec level.
18. You will be self-motivated and driven to deliver results and positively influence key stakeholders.
19. Have the knowledge and confidence to understand trends and results.
