Purpose of Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Regional Bid Manager to drive the success of our refurbishment, retrofitting and construction bids across our diverse portfolio of sectors. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the end-to-end bid process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver winning proposals. You will ensure that our submissions are of the highest quality and aligned with client expectations while adhering to the business targets.
Job Description
An ideal candidate would have had experience leading bids within social housing and/or residential projects and delivered a high-volume portfolio of £multi-million bids.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the regional bid management team (+10)
2. Develop bid strategies and work with a multidisciplinary team to create winning proposals.
3. Manage regional bid activities ensuring they remain on target.
4. Provide high-level input prior to submission of high-quality bids and proposals.
5. Work closely with legal, estimating, and operational teams to aid delivery.
6. Identify critical bid success factors and communicate them to the team as project milestones.
7. Lead post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future performance.
8. Collaborate with business development teams.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
1. Proven expertise in bid management.
2. Proven experience of managing a bid management team.
3. Strong understanding of facilities management, construction, and housing project delivery.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, InDesign) and strong IT skills.
