Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical and Learning Disability living in the Larkhall area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Attending to all personal care needs (shaving)
· Assisting with medication
· Preparing meals and healthy snacks
· Walking, Gym and assisting with participation in these physical activities
· Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Driver essential and you will be required drive a mobility vehicle.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are going out for meals, gentle walks, cinema and socialising. Interested in Wrestling, Boxing, MMA and Football.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for two positions.
Guaranteed permanent positions of 17.5 hours per week
Days and times
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm – 7pm
Tuesday & Thursday 2pm – 9pm
Hourly rate:
£12.00 per hour
