Business Development Executive
This role is based in Tenterden, with some requirement to be in the Ashford office when required and will require some travelling to meet prospects. This is a Monday to Friday, 9-5pm, role (35hrs pw) with an hour lunch break. The salary c£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and comes with these benefits:

1 or 2 annual company trips a yearWe are looking for someone to contribute positively to the planning and delivery of the development of new commercial insurance opportunities, in a manner that supports business objectives. You will build relationships with potential customers and work positively with colleagues to successfully convert leads into ongoing customer relationships.
You do not necessarily have to have business development experience. We want someone who is capable of generating new sales for insurance professionals. Training can and will be given in order to give key understanding of why clients should utilise the services - the most important part is getting through the door and past the gatekeeper to develop a pipeline of quote opportunities.
It is an essential requirement of this role that the candidate has their own transport and a full, clean, UK driving licence.
The ideal candidate will have:
A track record in highly driven and ambitious targeted business development and/or sales role.
A track record in business planning/ developing contact strategies.
Good understanding of business structures and commerciality.
Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills, including networking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office, CRM, social media platforms and the ability to effectively use NFU Mutual systems
Good maths and problem-solving skills
Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
Great team working and ability to build effective relationships through positive behaviours, honesty and integrity.
Focus on continuous improvement, able to use own initiative
Demonstrate commitment to quality and compliance with procedures/regulations using due care, skill and diligence
