The Role
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and account activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
This role is instrumental in driving financial strategy, consolidation and reporting, while maintaining strong controls and supporting business growth. Overall, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to get stuck in and make a real impact.
What will I be delivering?
1. Aiding the business in making the right decisions to enhance the financial management. This will result in maximising the performance both in terms of profit, cash and balance sheet investments.
2. Provide excellent data, information and advice to support the right decisions being made is vital to this business.
3. Identify and assess financial risks; ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws; support the preparation of accurate financial statements and tax returns; support internal and external audits.
4. Provide strategic financial guidance to support business goals; evaluate and advise on investments and financial opportunities.
What do I need to bring with me?
Demonstrated knowledge and experience
1. A strong financial background, including IFRS technical ability, P&L /Cash management, and a good understanding for advising on investments.
2. Financial experience in a listed manufacturing/engineering company.
Technical skills and qualifications
1. In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS).
2. Strong understanding of treasury and cash flow management.
3. Strategic thinking and hands on approach to problem solving and supporting the team.
4. High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
5. Strong communicator, with the ability to influence (including non-financial people).
