Main duties of the job We are looking for a motivated, skilled and caring professional to join a friendly and cohesive team of dedicated paediatric radiologists at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. ABOUT THE TEAM Paediatric radiology is an essential component of the Southampton Children's Hospital, and we have exciting plans to grow the service to continue to provide an excellent tertiary service and advise our local DGHs. The successful candidates will have subspecialist training in paediatric radiology and be able to participate fully with the varied work of the department including the dedicated on-call rota. This would consist of providing a comprehensive diagnostic paediatric radiology service which includes general plain radiography, CT, ultrasound, and MRI. Experience in leading imaging in multidisciplinary meetings is essential. In recognition of the national shortage of paediatric radiologists, this post is currently eligible for a recruitment and retention incentive of £10,000 (pro rata) payable on joining the Trust (terms and conditions apply); this will be renegotiated annually until we are fully staffed.
