What does a great Product Manager – Non Traditional Air do?
This individual creates and executes product strategy serving the long-term interests of Travelport as it relates to our non-traditional air offering (Low-Cost Carriers). They work with peers from across the company to understand the market, agency, and supplier’s requirements to create a market differentiating position.
Responsibilities include:
1. Has overall accountability and responsibility of the product family vision, strategy, and execution for LCC and other direct connect air products that may be present in the portfolio, ultimately owning their product family prioritization and profit and loss working with and reliant on technology, marketing, and commercial to assist with plan execution.
2. Develops product strategies from an external perspective while aligning the family of Product Strategies that span the different geographies, markets, and business through collaboration with LOB leaders to accurately reflect the Business and Technology Strategy.
3. Responsible for driving implementation efficiency working with across the industry eco-system, as needed.
4. Responsible for reviewing and managing evergreen roadmaps and in particular to provide structure and process in roadmap planning.
5. Responsible for ensuring customer value propositions exist for their applicable customer segments, working with other Product Family Managers planning and aligning strategies and delivery on shared roadmaps.
6. Responsible for tracking and managing the performance of their Product family by overseeing the design, development, implementation, and production of the periodic performance indicators (costs, benefits, growth, incidents) to help leadership make informed decisions on future investment, long-range capacity planning and drive product accountability.
