Reports to: General Counsel As Commercial Counsel, you will work directly with our front office teams on commercial contracts across our data, media and exchange businesses that serve corporates and institutions throughout the digital assets ecosystem. Role & Responsibilities Provide commercially-minded legal advice on commercial initiatives, products and services for our data, media and exchange businesses. Structure, negotiate and deliver all the legal aspects of commercial contracts. Assist the front office teams to evaluate and access new business opportunities, developing structures and documentation as necessary. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization on cross-functional projects to launch new commercial offerings. Opportunity to expand areas of coverage to include other corporate functions and initiatives based on interest and ability. Work with our inhouse regulatory team to navigate relevant regimes. Uphold our standards for compliance, ethics and corporate governance. Develop effective processes and contribute to our knowledge base and standard procedures. Stay abreast of developments in the digital assets industry and implications for our business. Experience & Qualifications US, UK or similar qualified with at least about 5 years PQE spent in private practice and in-house at leading firms/companies. Experienced in different types of commercial transactions relevant to financial services, data licensing and adjacent areas. Able to analyze novel situations, identify risks and opportunities and exercise sound judgment in addressing them. Strong drafting and negotiating skills. Knowledgeable or interested in digital assets and fintech businesses, and related financial services. Financially literate with strong commercial acumen. Excellent at collaborating and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proactive, hands-on, flexible and professional. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. PQE is a guide; candidates that otherwise have the requisite qualifications and experience are welcome.
