Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Manage all site construction activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to the project plan and building regulations.
2. Assist the Contracts Manager with all details of the project, consistently reporting progress and any issues that may arise.
3. Prepare delivery programmes, including labour resources, material requirements, timescales, design inputs, and commissioning.
4. Maintain and promote Health and Safety policies in accordance with legislation, conducting regular risk assessments and site inspections as necessary.
5. Co-ordinate sub-contractors and staff, ensuring the project runs as per the specifications and schedules. Conduct regular site meetings to monitor and manage progress and resolve issues.
6. Monitor quality consistently throughout the project, ensuring all work is completed to standards, client expectations, and building specifications.
7. Maintain and provide accurate reports of project progress, health and safety, and variations to plans as necessary.
8. Proactively identify and resolve potential risks or issues on site efficiently to minimise project delays.
9. Adopt and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all work carried out complies with company standards and legislative health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. CSCS Card (Desirable)
2. First Aid at Work
3. Strong technical understanding of the construction industry, including processes, materials, methods, and building regulations and standards.
4. Proficient in IT.
5. Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify potential risks to the project.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
