Support a startup empowering women to take control of their postnatal health BodyOwn: We support women to take control of their postnatal health and recovery with evidence-based, personalised support. Postnatal care in the UK is limited, with most women receiving only one GP check at around 6 weeks postpartum. This leaves many women unsupported during a critical period for physical and mental recovery. Women often struggle to find reliable information and specialist care for issues like pelvic health, incontinence, pain, and mental health challenges. BodyOwn bridges this gap by offering personalised, evidence-based postnatal care, helping women identify complications early, access specialist support, and confidently manage their recovery. Our vision is to create a safe, inclusive space where women can manage their postnatal recovery at their own pace. We are building a platform that will transform postnatal care and empower women to manage their recovery confidently. We are looking for passionate professionals who want to make a meaningful difference in women’s health. Whether you have expertise in health, tech, user experience, or community building, your support can help us deliver a game-changing solution for postnatal care. Role (Volunteer): UX/UI Designer. Role Description: Help shape the look and feel of BodyOwn's app to create a seamless and engaging user experience. You will work closely with the Bubble.io developer and the product team to refine the app's user flow and design. Creating wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs that align with BodyOwn's brand. Enhancing navigation and improving user flow to ensure a smooth user experience. Conduct usability tests and incorporate user feedback into design improvements. Ensuring the app is accessible and visually appealing across different devices and screen sizes. Why this role matters: You will help create an app that empowers women to manage their postnatal recovery confidently. Your design expertise will directly impact user engagement, satisfaction, and retention. We understand this is a volunteer role and value your time and expertise. Our priority is the quality of your contribution over the number of hours you can commit. We are committed to supporting you in delivering meaningful work with impact.
