Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Salary: £50-55K Company Van The Role: Starting on a new build care home project in Peterborough which runs for around 18 months. Overseeing and managing the installation of all mechanical services, including heating, ventilation, sprinklers and plumbing. Leading a team of mechanical operatives and subcontractors on-site. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Reporting directly to your project manager, liaising with site managers, and other trades to coordinate works. Conducting regular quality checks to ensure installations meet required standards. Assisting with hands-on installation work as needed to meet deadlines. Managing materials, tools, and equipment on-site. Providing progress updates and reporting any issues to the project management team. Working on site when required. Typical working hours: 07:30-16:30, Mon-Fri. The Company: 20 years delivering Mechanical/HVAC projects throughout the UK. Have 2 sides of the business which cover both commercial and residential projects. Offices based in Oxfordshire. Currently have around 30 direct employees, consisting of office and site staff. Turnover in the region of £8.5m per year. This hire is due to company growth. Stronger order book and require more supervision. The Ideal Candidate: Will have proven experience as a Mechanical Foreman or Mechanical Supervisor on similar projects. Will have strong knowledge of mechanical systems installation, including pipework, heating systems, and ventilation. Renewables and sprinkler experience is preferable but not essential. Will have the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality work. Will have strong problem-solving and communication skills, and attention to detail. Will hold a valid CSCS card and SSSTS or SMSTS. It would be advantageous if you hold First Aid at Work certification. It would be advantageous if you have experience working on care homes, schools, or large residential developments. Computer literacy is essential, and knowledge of field view would be preferable. Will be willing to work on the tools when required.
