Job overview
Foxhall Ward, which is a male Low Secure inpatient ward, requires a dedicated and flexible administrator to support the medical and nursing services it provides as part of NSFT's Secure & Forensic Services based at Northside House, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich.
The role primarily involves the provision of administrative support to the Consultant Psychiatrists, such as organisation of clinical meetings, audiotyping, maintenance of records and regular liaison with external stakeholders, including other healthcare providers and the Ministry of Justice. It also requires in-person attendance for the purpose of taking notes at medical meetings and consultations that sometimes cover sensitive or challenging topics with our service users.
Candidates must have a very good standard of written English, display excellent attention to detail and have an ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of people.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties:
* Organisation of Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings.
* In-person and online minuting of clinical meetings.
* Liaison with other teams and departments regarding admissions, transfers and discharges.
* Scanning of handwritten forms / assessments into the Electronic Patient Record (Lorenzo).
Preferably candidates will have at least two years of recent administration experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential and applicants will ideally have attained RSA II typing qualifications, ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent. Time management skills are needed in order to organise own workload and cope with shifting priorities and deadlines.
