Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Oxleas’ Adult Community Physical Health and Adult Community Mental Health Services. We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking senior nurse with significant clinical experience, a proven record of leadership, change management, and innovation.
You will be a dedicated and committed person whose expertise will support Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the vision for a joint NHS and Royal Borough of Greenwich Assistive Technology Enabled Care (ATEC) service that seeks to improve the way health and social care is delivered to the residents of this diverse London borough.
The role will be accountable for and lead on the implementation of care and health technologies under the ATEC programme, including managing clinical safety and governance, along with key responsibilities for service development, process and pathway design, training, and expansion of the offer. You will empower and support colleagues to think about new ways to deliver good outcomes, being an ambassador for the ATEC service and driving forward new practice and process.
This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on this innovative transformation programme. The use of digital technology in Greenwich is helping people to stay in their homes, be more independent and better manage their health conditions. Our vision is for Greenwich residents to receive the highest quality of care in the safest environment.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for embedding a new mindset across the systems in which you will be operating, supporting your health and social care peers with understanding and embracing the vision for how technology can transform people’s lives, helping them live more independently at home, better connect to community and loved ones, and manage or improve their health conditions. You will be accountable for ensuring that this is done in a way which is safe and appropriate, looking to maximise patient care and outcomes alongside managing risks and complex conditions.
As a senior clinician, you will exercise autonomy and provide appropriate clinical assessment, formulation, and interventions - with a goal of supporting colleagues to refer and employ ATEC safely and appropriately, to influence individual outcomes and system-wide change. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, working collaboratively with people, their families, operational teams, our culture change partner, and the ATEC service provider to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will work alongside a specialist occupational therapist and specialist social worker, in close collaboration with stakeholders and partners in RBG, Oxleas and the NHS to drive forward this exciting and aspirational new integrated service for residents in Greenwich.
