General Description:
1. Support in delivering the Health & Safety strategic plan.
2. Taking minutes of meetings and action logs.
3. Handling of sensitive and confidential information.
4. Assist in the implementation of corrective action from incident investigations and safety concerns where required.
5. Supporting forums and working groups across the business.
6. Assist in the maintenance of the Health and Safety SharePoint site.
7. Documenting of management and process improvements across the business.
8. Reporting and administering of QHSE platforms.
9. Supporting in ensuring the safe systems of work are effective.
10. Supporting the quality team in a wide range of administrative duties.
11. Writing of risk assessments.
12. Writing of method statements and the creation of work instructions.
13. Facilitate actions / modifications from employee risk assessments / return to work.
14. Complete and monitor the return of various QHSE reports, assisting management to ensure all actions are completed on time and reminders issued for those outstanding.
15. Draft correspondence to include creating, revising, proof-reading, and distributing various types of documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
16. Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Experience in a similar QHSE administrative role.
2. Good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
3. IOSH managing safely or above.
4. Experience of ISO 9001.
5. Good experience of writing risk assessments, method statements, and work instructions.
6. Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
7. Experience conducting workplace inspections and checks.
8. Experience of producing work within defined timescales.
9. Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with good attention to detail.
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Good knowledge of IT systems with an excellent knowledge and understanding of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
12. A positive, flexible, and pro-active approach to work.
13. A willingness and ability to learn new skills.
