Our Sunderland Community Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service is a well-established innovative and creative targeted (Tier 2/Getting Help) service. This post is integrated within Sunderland Community CYMHS. The skilled individual will join a multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of interventions that identify mental health difficulties at the earliest stage, and facilitate the provision of services that promote resilience, and enable positive mental health. The systemic practitioner will be based in Sunderland, and will be integrated into the Sunderland south team however expected to deliver systemic interventions across our 3 Sunderland bases. Main duties of the job You will be required to have sound knowledge and skills pertaining to Children and young peoples mental health, and be able to work autonomously as a practitioner and collaboratively with colleagues across a wide range of professions and organisations. The successful applicants must have, Appropriate professional qualification E.g nursing, social work, teaching, occupational therapy or equivalent, and Level 1 foundation and Level 2 intermediate/CYP-IAPT qualification in systemic practice. As Primary Mental Health Specialist you will be required to carry out mental health assessments and also work with families who require a systemic treatment intervention. The service has a robust supervision structure, and offer a robust internal training offer. Evidence of relevant continuous professional development.
