East Renfrewshire Council recognises the crucial role SMEs play within the local economy and has developed a range of support programmes designed to encourage job creation and business growth.
We are looking for a motivated person, seeking a challenging role within a busy Economic Development environment to assist the Council to deliver economic growth in East Renfrewshire.
The post is located within the Council's Economic Development and Inclusive Growth team.
The post holder will assist in the promotion and appraisal of a wide range of grant support and loan applications against set funding criteria.
The post holder will also be responsible for a wide range of tasks such as managing correspondence, dealing with telephone and face-to-face enquiries, and sending emails.
The post holder will be required to read and understand information provided in support of funding applications and be able to query and analyse that information in order to assess each application.
The post holder will further be required to assist at networking and business events and promote local campaigns such as Scotland Loves Local.
