An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance Limited (RRPF), a joint venture company between Rolls-Royce PLC and GATX Corporation comprising of 19 joint venture entities in the UK, 18 entities in the US, 2 in Malaysia, 1 in China and 1 in India.
RRPF is a jet engine leasing company with the largest global portfolio of Rolls-Royce aero engines, providing medium and long term spare engine leasing and bespoke financial solutions to airlines, aircraft lessors and OEMs. We support over 50 customers worldwide with a portfolio of over 500 jet engines.
The Finance team manages the business planning, accounting, reporting and tax for all the entities. It is also responsible for the communication of financial performance to its shareholders.
Joining RRPF, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-moving finance team, whose primary objectives are to manage and improve financial and management reporting, to ensure all compliance obligations are met and to be effective and trusted business partners to the wider business team. You will work very closely with the other members of the Finance Team, the CFO and wider business stakeholders and report to the Director of Treasury and Financial Planning and Analysis.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will jointly manage and improve month-end close process, driving improvement and automation of management accounts production. You will be responsible for the timely production of monthly reconciliations and monthly variance analysis feeding into monthly management accounts and reporting. You will also help prepare/consolidate budgets and forecasts in accordance with the JV partners’ timetables. You will also:
* Financial/Statutory Reporting – Jointly be day-to-day point of contact for the auditors, dealing with audit queries, and be responsible for ensuring audited financial statements are prepared and signed off within the agreed deadlines.
* Business Partnering – Be an effective business partner to the wider business e.g. preparing financial assessments of customers to support Marketing Directors’ business cases, advising them of accounting treatments and implications of proposed business transactions or to liaise with tax advisors on tax implications.
* Continuous improvement – A key aspect of this role will be to continually identify areas for improvement and to be proactive in implementing such changes. You will drive efficiencies in the production and structure of our management reporting and play a key part in improving their design and structure.
* Ad hoc projects – Support in various aspects of ad hoc and transactional projects such as providing technical accounting reports or writing business cases, covering diverse issues, for example, treasury/refinancing issues, set up of new entities, new leasing structures.
* Tax – While some parts of Tax Compliance are outsourced, you will be involved preparing monthly VAT returns and supporting tax advisors with annual corporate tax compliance process.
* AP/AR – Support the Operations teams to ensure monthly billings are raised and creditors paid in a timely fashion.
Who We Are Looking For

* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CA) with relevant post-qualification experience in industry/commerce.
* Excellent technical accounting knowledge and comfortable in dealing in a multi GAAP environment and experience in preparing financial statements including consolidation. US GAAP knowledge will be beneficial.
* Excellent Excel, Powerpoint and other MS Office skills. Demonstrable excellent financial modelling skills will be a plus.
* Excellent written skills and able to distil accurately the “story behind the numbers.”
* Excellent teamworking, communication skills, commercially astute, can-do attitude and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Sun Systems, Hyperion, Salesforce, and accounts production software (e.g. Thomson Reuters AP) a plus.
* Leasing industry experience and/or interest in aviation and the airline industry also a plus.
