Quality and Governance Manager- Non Custodial

Our Health in Justice service line is now expanding into Non-Custodial healthcare, a person-centred approach delivered via a solid and consolidated infrastructure aimed to assess individuals' mental health and neurodiversity requirements, to redirect them to the most appropriate channel. We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Governance Manager to join our team in North Yorkshire.
As Quality and Governance Manager, you will provide professional advice and support to colleagues relating to Governance, promoting high standards of governance and the development of best practice in relation to governance issues. You will contribute to the development and implementation of Practice Plus Group's continuing Governance Strategy and work in partnership with the Quality Governance Manager for Health in Justice and the National Medical Director to promote and assure services within the region.
Job Summary
Hours: 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday. The role will be primarily remote; however, it will require regular travel to the services across Yorkshire. Applicants must be able to easily commute across the region.
Salary: This position is full time, and you will receive a salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience, plus a £4,000 car allowance.
Main Duties of the Job
As the Quality and Governance Manager for our Non-Custodial service you will:
* Support the Head of Governance in the coordination and planning of the national audit timetable.
* Be fully conversant with the audit cycle and with Practice Plus Group audit processes.
* Develop competence and familiarity with I-auditor (and other audit tools as required) to enable consistency in audit practice and application.
* Maintain oversight of audit compliance across sites within the region and support clinical and operational leads to utilise audit results to generate relevant actions and inform service development.
* Maintain an oversight of local and regional risk registers and monitor timely review and evaluation, and where necessary the escalation of risk for consideration of inclusion on the corporate risk register.
* Develop and orchestrate a timetable of Quality Assurance visits across each region.
* Ensure timely compilation, quality checking, and dissemination of QA visit reports.
* Support sites in preparation for external visits and, where applicable, inspections from CQC.
* Ensure timely responses to Subject Access Requests, ensuring site staff receive appropriate training and support.
* Chair Regional Quality Assurance meetings and contribute to discussions and evidence gathering to demonstrate compliance and good governance.
* Chair Regional Patient Safety Incident Response Groups (PSIRG).
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Degree Level Educated or equivalent experience.
* Experience of working within Risk Management in a Healthcare setting.
* Experience of reviewing data to assess healthcare quality and clinical performance and reporting incidents in accordance with PSIRF.
* Knowledge of CQC standards for compliance.
* Experience of report writing for operational teams and senior management.
* Writing and responding formally to complaints.
* Knowledge of the tools which should be applied to create a safe patient environment.
