Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Generalist Lecturer – South West Region.
This is a full time, permanent role, working 37 hours per week.
Within the South West Region, we are the education provider in 8 prisons, and we currently have vacancies for the following cluster:
Devon Cluster: HMP Exeter and HMP Channings Wood.
As this is a regional role, you will need to hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
Day to day duties of the role
To deliver a high-quality curriculum delivering a variety of courses, including English and Maths.
Organisational and administrative work.
Preparation, assessment and marking.
Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
Required skills and qualifications
A degree or professional qualification relevant to the work.
Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer literacy skills including an up to date knowledge of Microsoft Office.
