The Group has expanded its publishing brands to a wider scope, encompassing Hypebeast and its multiple content distribution platforms, creative agency Hypemaker, and e-commerce and retail platform HBX.The HYPEBEAST Editorial team is looking for a highly organized and creative Producer to join the Video department. The candidate will be responsible for field producing and directing, talent booking, overseeing initial rounds of edits, and occasionally editing the full video for HYPEBEAST editorial video content. The Producer should have a passion for storytelling and compelling video series, and must possess the ability to create content for Hypebeast across multiple platforms. In addition to conceptual thinking, the ideal candidate will have excellent directing skills and industry contacts and extensive knowledge of all aspects of production.
Responsibilities:
1. Reach out to potential talent and pre-produce short and mid-form content.
2. Be primary point of contact and responsible for on-set production.
3. Assist in securing, scheduling, and managing all talent, crew, and locations for the production team.
4. Oversee projects from inception to completion, including conceptualizing, writing, and managing editorial, graphics production, music composition, and sound design.
5. Experience with shooting, being able to shoot “B-Cam” when necessary.
6. Direct and field produce HYPEBEAST video shoots.
7. When needed, edit social videos that have been shot.
8. Continually brainstorm and develop new series and episode ideas, ensuring consistency across all HYPEBEAST series.
9. Develop and foster working relationships with external partners.
10. Work closely with the Executive Producer to uphold the standards of the HYPEBEAST brand.
11. Continually improve efficiency and enforce the production process.
12. Ensure all productions are wrapped in a timely manner and within budget.
Requirements:
13. 3+ years of relevant experience in video production.
14. Competent video producer with a focus on both social video and narrative.
15. A great storyteller - can exhibit highly conceptual thinking and writing skills.
16. Demonstrated experience in directing and field production for short and mid form videos.
17. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a must.
18. Must have basic video editing experience.
19. Understanding of the editorial process from beginning to end.
20. Strong interpersonal, people management, and time management skills.
21. Ability to juggle several projects at one time often under tight deadlines.
22. Easily adaptable, willing to adjust to changing needs of the video team.
