We are recruiting for a Lived Experience Lead to work across the Hampshire, Sussex and Kent (HSK) Provider Collaborative.
This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively and strategically alongside colleagues and be a visible advocate for lived experience involvement across the organisation.
Lived experience of children's mental health services as a user of services or carer is essential, as well as strong planning, management, leadership and relationship building skills to promote and facilitate co-production across everything that we do.
The ideal candidate will have the capacity to convey hope, a willingness to share their experience with mental health services and the determination and enthusiasm to ensure that people with lived experience are included in all forums where patient voices are needed. You will be a natural communicator, able to engage, challenge and collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including individuals from a variety of backgrounds who have a range of different needs.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for leading and delivering on Lived Experience programs of work within the CAMHS Tier 4 Provider Collaborative across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Sussex, Kent and Medway. Responsible for planning and managing coproduction across the Provider Collaborative footprint and for leading on or supporting the implementation of specific work streams to embed Lived Experience-informed strategic leadership, peer support, engagement, and training. This post will support a system-wide approach to key mental health priorities, and the post holder will use appropriate project management and quality improvement methodology as well as performance management and risk management skills.

Person Specification
Essential and Desirable
* Educated to degree standard or demonstrable equivalent level of experience at a strategic level within a lived experience role.
* Significant knowledge and experience in programme management, including change management, service redesign, financial management and workforce redesign.
* Experience in a service user/ carer strategic leadership role, engagement leadership role or peer leadership role.
* Demonstrable involvement in developing co-production strategies, and ensuring service user engagement.
* Lived experience of children's mental health services as a user of services or carer.
* Experience of developing and maintaining communication networks and materials for engaging service users.
* Experience of leading cross organisational programmes with complex, sensitive and / or contentious information where cross organisational agreement or co-operation is required.
* Experience of facilitating collaborative working across different organisations and encompassing a broad range of complex activities.
* Experience of providing training to multi-disciplinary groups of staff and wider stakeholders at all levels.
* Motivational skills to encourage collaborative working to improve services and performance where there may be resistance to change.
* Ability to lead on service developments, developing and implementing policy in conjunction with working groups which have wider implications for service wide development.
* Experience and evidence of achievement in managing an ongoing programme of cross organisational improvements.
* Experience of working within a health care, local government or third sector setting.
* A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
