The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. You will be expected to create a culture that enables all learners and staff to excel. You will understand principles of curriculum design and quality assurance processes and will be a driving force in further moulding of the team.
Our new Assistant Headteacher will undertake all the normal responsibilities of a SENDCo. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will work in close partnership with SLT, teachers, parents, Governors and external agencies to implement the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision across the school.
