External Sales & Business Development Executive
Location: Dudley - DY2
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday / 8am - 5pm & Friday / 8am - 4:30pm
39.5 Hours Per Week - Full Time - Permanent
Salary: £44,000 per annum (no commission)
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced External Sales and Business Development Executive to join an established manufacturing company based in Dudley. My client is searching for an all-round experienced and confident sales/business development candidate with previous experience in the manufacturing industry and a good amount of steel knowledge. They are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing personality to work alongside the sales and management team in a busy office.
The role would suit a highly motivated proactive individual with experience in targeting new business within the manufacturing industry. You will not have a database to start with, so must have knowledge of how to find and target new business.
The Job Role:
1. Geographical area you can target will be the UK
2. Researching and targeting potential new customers
3. Able to forge good relationships with engineers and buyers
4. Must be able to communicate on all levels from one-man-band engineers to corporate companies with engineers/designers
5. Developing a good understanding of the products
6. Researching new potential markets and making outbound calls to introduce the company's services
7. Making your own appointments
8. Writing reports from visits
9. Able to plan their own diary for the week
10. Keeping customer account notes up to date with information gained from calls made to them
Experience/Requirements:
1. Must have experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies
2. Some knowledge of steel is required
3. Some knowledge of drawings would be advantageous
4. You will be selling sub-contract laser cutting and folding
5. Must be computer literate
6. Requires a current clean driving licence
