Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Manager. The position is located in the Guildford Area, United Kingdom. The Information Technology Manager will oversee IT operations, cybersecurity, and compliance. This hands-on leadership role requires expertise in corporate IT setup, global infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance (Cyber Essentials, GDPR). You will be responsible for ensuring the security, efficiency, and scalability of GlucoRx's IT systems while supporting business operations across multiple locations.
Required Skills and Experience
* 8+ years of experience in IT management, infrastructure setup, and cybersecurity.
* Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 suite, Dynamics 365 Business Central, and cloud storage solutions.
* Proven experience implementing and maintaining Cyber Essentials certification and GDPR compliance.
* Hands-on experience with Metallic Cloud Storage, Backup Solutions, and Defender Plan 2.
* Excellent knowledge of IT security frameworks, threat detection, and incident response.
* Experience in writing IT documentation, SOPs, and technical guidelines.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage IT teams and external vendors.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Experience setting up AWS Services.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
* Experience in IT management, IT project management, and network infrastructure management
* Proficiency in information systems security, risk management, and compliance
* Skilled in software and hardware system management and technical support
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and lead a team
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) are a plus
Preferred Qualifications
* Certifications in IT Security (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+), Microsoft 365, or Cloud Computing.
* Experience with global IT setups and enterprise security.
* Familiarity with IT audit processes and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure and Corporate IT Setup
* Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure for global operations.
* Manage Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Exchange Online, and Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials to support business processes.
* Oversee cloud storage solutions, including Metallic Cloud Storage Service EMEA and Metallic Backup for Microsoft 365 Enterprise for data security and business continuity.
* Implement IT policies and best practices to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security.
* Set up and maintain Defender Plan 2 for advanced threat protection and endpoint security.
Cybersecurity and compliance
* Lead Cyber Essentials certification efforts, ensuring compliance with UK cybersecurity standards.
* Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies to protect company data, infrastructure, and endpoints.
* Ensure full GDPR compliance, including data protection processes, risk assessments, and incident response planning.
* Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes using Metallic File & Object Backup and Metallic Cloud Storage Service.
* Monitor and respond to security incidents, implementing proactive measures to mitigate cyber threats.
Documentation and SOPs
* Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and IT policies for system management, security, and compliance.
* Create clear guidelines for employees on IT best practices, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
* Maintain IT asset documentation, software licenses, and hardware inventories.
IT Support and Business Enablement
* Provide IT support for corporate users, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient troubleshooting.
* Manage IT service providers, vendors, and external consultants.
* Plan and execute IT projects that align with business objectives.
