Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Area: Witney, Oxfordshire Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Start: April 2025 Salary: Dependent on experience An outstanding and highly reputable SEN school in Witney, Oxfordshire, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join their permanent staff team from April 2025 or sooner. The Role: Supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities that meet individual student needs. Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students. Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Using various communication methods and adaptive strategies to support student learning. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, either in a school or similar setting. A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN and a patient, caring approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents. The ability to adapt to different situations and work collaboratively as part of a team. A good level of literacy and numeracy. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable but not essential). A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
